Important clarification about Stafford Animal Shelter’s Fur Ball: the ten contestants have already been selected to participate in the invitation-only formal dog and owner fashion show. Fur Ball ticket holders will be able to enjoy this elegant but entertaining fashion show and, in order to minimize the chaos, are asked not to bring their own dogs. While we appreciate that other people may enjoy participating with their dogs in this event, we ask that they wait to strut their stuff in the Best Dressed contest at the much larger Bark in the Park venue on August 17th, 2008. There are still seats available for the May 9th Fur Ball, Stafford Animal Shelter’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and entertainment includes casino games, a live and silent auction, and Alston Chase signing his new book “We Give Our Hearts to Dogs to Tear: Intimations of their Immortality” in addition to the fashion show. Tickets are $85 each after April 30th, and available online at www.staffordanimalshelter.org or by phone at 406/222-1313.
